Effective January 1, 2019, Josip T. Tomasevic was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer, and assumed responsibility for global procurement, materials management and demand planning. His efforts are instrumental in aligning business processes to maximize results, increase efficiencies and enhance AGCO’s competitive advantage. His major focus will be turning suppliers into partners helping AGCO to increase its technology leadership and to generate greater value together. In his previous role, Mr. Tomasevic was Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer. He will continue to be based in Duluth, Georgia, USA.
Mr. Tomasevic joined AGCO as Vice President, Global Purchasing and Materials Management in 2011 and has managed the global spend of AGCO while being responsible for each of the regional Purchasing and Materials Organizations. Prior to joining AGCO, he directed Purchasing and Logistics organizations at CLAAS, GILDEMEISTER, and EMAG.
Mr. Tomasevic holds an engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering and Production Systems from the FHTE Esslingen University of Applied Sciences in Germany. He has also completed general management programs at Harvard, Kellogg and St. Gallen Business Schools. Mr. Tomasevic serves on the Board of Directors of BVL International, the German Association of Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics, and is an Executive Steering Committee Member of the Georgia Logistics Summit.
