Visitor center and expanded production facility create 200 new jobs in Jackson, Minnesota

New Intivity Center Showcases AGCO’s Farmer-Focused Innovation

In June 2012, AGCO celebrated the grand opening of Intivity CenterSM and the 75,000-square-foot expansion of our Jackson, Minnesota, manufacturing center.

The expansion brings production of Challenger® and Massey Ferguson® high-horsepower wheeled row crop tractors to North America. Bob Crain, senior vice president and general manager of AGCO North America, said, “We can now proudly say the Massey Ferguson and Challenger row crop tractors are ‘built in North America.’” The expansion brings more than 200 jobs and an estimated $17 million to the local economy, increasing the number of professional, support and skilled manufacturing positions at the Jackson facility to 1,050.

AGCO also launched Intivity Center, a state-of-the-art visitor center in Jackson. The 17,000-square-foot Intivity Center showcases AGCO’s farmer-focused innovation, offering an extensive collection of historical artifacts, many never before seen by the public. Visitors can also preview the future of agricultural equipment currently in development. “AGCO is proud to bring North American farmers the benefit of our global expertise in agricultural equipment, and Intivity Center captures many examples of our efforts, both from the past and those we will be bringing to market in the future,” said Martin Richenhagen, chairman and CEO of AGCO.
The Jackson facility expansion and Intivity Center provide even more high-quality equipment production and innovation in Jackson. Richenhagen described this latest initiative as part of a “continuum of efforts AGCO is undertaking through our commitment to deliver superior products, service and innovation as we have never done before.”
