Massey Ferguson Seeding & Tillage

About

Over the years, Massey Ferguson has developed a comprehensive range of planters, drills and seeders specifically designed to meet the needs of different markets and variable growing conditions and crop types around the world. Although many of them share common features, such as the row units, these machines are built to provide precise placement and careful handling of a wide variety of seed sizes, including cereals, soya bean, maize, grass, sunflower and rice.

A number of models feature the unique Positive Air Metering (PAMÔ) system, which offers a degree of accuracy and seed handling not achieved by competitor machines.

For many farmers, the most important quality in a planter or drill is the ability to plant at a consistent seed rate and depth. Next, it needs to be robust in construction while still being precise in operation and it should be compact when being transported from field to field. MF planters satisfy all these requirements.

In select areas of North America, Massey Ferguson and White Planters® have joined together to offer seeding and tillage products. White Planters is a leader in row-crop seeding technology. From corn to sunflowers, cotton to peanuts, there's a White Planters model match to the job.  White Planters equipment can be used for conventional or conservation planting or both. The innovative White Planters seed metering system, with only one moving part, helps to maintain accuracy in most any row crop, acre after acre. White Planters brand products offer more than 70 models and sizes ranging from 4 to 31 rows to help professional farmers ensure consistent, gentle seed placement.  Advanced systems for precision farming from AGCO Advance Technology Solutions – such as Fieldstar® – can be used with White Planters equipment to enable farmers to define and implement an efficient, productive seeding plan.

In addition, Massey Ferguson and Sunflower® have joined together to offer tillage equipment in select North American areas. Sunflower, with their proud tradition going back to 1941, are known as the "originators of flexible tillage tools.  In the 1960s, Sunflower introduced the first flexible plow on the market, a flexible chisel plow and a flexible offset disc to their growing line of products. Many other innovations, such as the revolutionary four-section disc, have followed to help professional farmers increase efficiency and productivity. Today, Sunflower is recognized around the world as a producer and marketer of top quality products, including primary tillage tools, soil conditioners, land finishers, chisels, field cultivators, disc harrows, grain carts and more.
